Are you annoyed by people who put snowy map protection on maps just to piss you off? So you can't steal their map and say it's yours? or edit their map to make it better than their crappy version? this guide pretty much teaches you how to get rid of that crap.
(jk on this part)*especially when they add like 12000 on their map so you can't edit accordingly*
1. Get a hex editor. Don't use it on CS2D though or DC will get mad. loool.
2. Open the map up and type in "entities" in the console. This is just to make sure you aren't stupid or anything, and will clarify that you ACTUALLY have Gen_Weather entities on the map so you can see how many there is. Usually it's really easy if there are very few, or a lot.
3. If there are, proceed, open up Hex Editor and then open up the map.
*I already did the hard part for you lol.
4. Press CTRL+F, then in the drop down menu, click Hex Values, then insert 0000000D0A01. (If for some reason it's rain then lol cuz it's steal easy to get rid of, just change the 01 to 00 at the end.)
6. The entities that you are looking for have triggers on them. If they don't then all I can say is rofl.
Work your way from the bottom going up. All of the weather entities are on the bottom so it's relatively easy to locate the spots.
7. Usually the entities look like this
"triggername....4...." Look on the left side to see if you can spot something like "0D 0A 34" that pretty much means it is a weather entity. Try to locate the 0D 0A 01...if you find it, change the 01 to 05, which turns the entity into a Thunder entity instead of snow. Thunder has no effect on the map editor and will not flood your shit with annoying white pieces of fluff. That being said...
8. Save the map as a different name, so you can make sure you don't overwrite it or anything. Keep doing this until there aren't any more pieces of fluff coming up anymore.
this was kind of a brief and for noobs, if it sucked then just ask me questions or something...
