Stranded became 10 years old a few days ago. The first version has been presented in a German Blitz Basic forum on the 8th of June 2003. You couldn't do anything in this version besides wandering around. There also were no real models yet - just flat 2D trees which always faced the camera.

Less than 2 months later (31 July 2003) I released version 1.0 of the game.

So: Happy Birthday Stranded! And no need to worry: The work on Stranded III continues even though there were no new posts in the thread tool Stranded III Dev. Blog for quite some time. I will do my best to provide you with new facts about Stranded III as soon as possible.

Well I think that final Stranded I is almost same as the presented version, because I still can't figure out how to play it normally.

Since this decade the games on Unreal Software has evolved more and more. They have become really awesome indie games and there has been quite a few brilliant indie games indeed such as Counter-Strike 2D and the Stranded-series.
The decade has almost become a game "devcade" meaning a decade consisting of game development. I am amazed by the work user DC has put in to this and most of the games here at Unreal Software are really enjoyable, keep up the good work user DC. You're a great game developer.

oh 10 years.. I first play Stranded I on 2004/2005 but not 1.0.3.0 version but older That memories when I was small child and play with my friends Stranded in real on field with bushes, trees etc. Now I'm a big kid.. too big for this stuff... Anyway my old PC crashed so I don't play Stranded anymore. I searched it in 2008/2009 and I found Stranded II and I loved that game series from begin!
